How to cook and % of fat

by Employee
(Costco Santa Rosa)

Hi Misty,

I have a George Foreman grill.

Can I use it to cook my Hamburger meat or is frying it in a pan better?

Also what percentage should it be in fat?

First, let me take the opportunity to thank the Costco Santa Rosa and all employees for allowing me to be a part of your "Health and Safety" week. I enjoyed speaking with all of you and sharing ideas for healthier eating. I had a great time and enjoyed getting to know all of you.

As far as ground beef is concerned, I prefer 85/15. I would suggest that you purchase the ground beef that you enjoy based on taste.

Remember we don't want to eat low fat yet we don't need to push fat either. Again, this is a taste preference more so than a health preference especially considering reduction in carbohydrate affords us the enjoyment of a higher fat content.

I prefer the taste of BBQ or grilling on a cast iron grill but I understand how convenient for some the George Foreman Grill can be.

I hope I have answered your questions clearly!

As Always,
In Good Health
Misty
